rose&vanilla, expert and innovator in vegan, gluten and lactose-free patisserie, raises over half a million euros in funding from Brave New Food Investments.

Utrecht, December 16th, 2021 - The innovative patisserie concept rose&vanilla will use the investment of over half a million euros by Brave New Food Investments to expand their capacity and points of sale, and to advance their products with unique flavor combinations made without ingredients that may cause irritations for people with food sensitivities.

Led by craftsmanship, ingenuity and vision, the talented team of rose&vanilla continuously innovates the unique recipes of their products. Flavor is key as they strive for perfection. Due to the rising demand for tasty, sustainable products made without animal-derived ingredients, without gluten and without refined sugars, rose&vanilla is rapidly growing guided by the vision of Daphne Giesberger and Erik de Wit.

Brave New Food Investments believes in the potential of rose&vanilla. “The team led by Erik and Daphne make exceptionally great products. The assortment covers all relevant themes; of organic origin and suitable for people with an intolerance for gluten and milk/lactose. All without making any concession on flavor,” Jesse ‘t Lam, co-founder of Brave New Food Investments, expressed.

Clients are experiencing market changes and shifts in consumer demand and want to differentiate with tasty, innovative products. rose&vanilla does not exclusively cater to cafe’s; their products are also available online and on the shelves of bio-retailers and other bakeries. “Our assortment offers our clients the chance to reach a broader audience and prioritize hospitality, because our products are enjoyable for everyone”, Erik, co-founder of rose&vanilla explained.

The team is literally bursting at the seams of their current bakery as they have dozens of new product ideas. The partnership and the investment paves the way to the future. Daphne is excited about this: “Now we can focus on product innovation, expanding our product capacity in a new bakery, build rose&vanilla cake shops in the 5 big cities and sell throughout Europe.”

The partnership with Brave New Food Investment has even more benefits. “It’s a great match. We are surrounded by entrepreneurs who have had a production company themselves. We understand each other and know how to leverage the opportunities to innovate and scale while maintaining quality and profitability,” both Erik and Jesse affirm.

Alongside innovative brands such as Karma Kebab, GRO and SUNT, rose&vanilla is an addition to the growing portfolio of Brave New Food Investments. By means of smart capital, they focus on accelerating sustainable food solutions for the future. This makes it possible to respond to market demand, while taking into account diet and the health of people, animals and the planet.

Both partners have a passion for the product and the sector and can realize their ambitions with this partnership.
